Corporate Responsibility
Corporate Responsibilty

BBUS is whole-heartedly committed to fulfilling our corporate responsibilities and we have a process in place to ensure that stakeholder expectations are managed effectively.
Central to meeting the expectations of those we interact with is our determination to ensure we keep everyone safe. The health and safety of members of the public, our customers and our employees is our top priority on every site. We are fully committed to achieving ZERO HARM across our business by 2012.
Our sustainability policy is also tailored towards fulfilling our corporate responsibilities. We stress the necessity of considering social, economic and environmental factors in each of our daily activities with a view to reducing our carbon footprint and delivering long term sustainability.
We also understand that our corporate responsibilities extend to the local communities we operate in. We support a range of local charity initiatives and conduct regular community events to raise funds for the most worthwhile of causes. Recently, we have held popular events such as 'It's a Knockout' and have leant our support to the Balfour Beatty Group centenary trust, Building Better Futures, which aims to help disadvantaged young people.
