Safety First

ZERO HARM

The health and safety of members of the public, our customers and employees is our top priority on every site.  We demonstrate significant health and safety improvements year on year, using the most up-to-date, forward thinking methods, such as near miss reporting and regular site audits.

The collaboration of every department in our business works to ensure that the best possible training, equipment and support is available to our teams so that they work together to keep our customers and themselves, safe. We have also formed strong relationships with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Environment Agency (EA) and have a strong ethos for sharing best practice across our operations.

The Balfour Beatty group has embarked on a journey to achieve ZERO HARM by 2012. This means zero risk of any kind to the public, zero risk of fatalities and zero risk of long term harm to health.
