Site Engineer

"I'm a Site Engineer and my role involves co-ordinating the repairs of underground cable faults ranging from 33kV to 400kV.

There isn't really a typical day working in the Faults and Services Team. We respond to emergency calls from our Clients across the Midlands. In this field of expertise, the aim is to repair the fault as soon as possible and return the circuit back to service.

Our working area can take us from Skegness, to Bristol or even the Welsh Borders. I love the variety- I never know where I'm going to be from one week to the next or what we are going to be repairing. It's fast and furious but I do get a real sense of job satisfaction working in this role."
