On account of this, we have received several awards displaying recognition of our partnerships and drive towards continuous improvement and innovation.
BBUS wins NJUG World Class Award for second successive year

BBUS has received the 2009 NJUG World Class Award for its approach to ZERO HARM. The award recognises all that the company has done in the past twelve months towards achieving its ZERO HARM vision, which has included a logistically challenging roadshow programme where BBUS launched the ZERO HARM initiative to over 5,500 employees.
BBUS also received the NJUG World Class Award in 2008, for its Belief Based Behavioural Safety Programme.
BBUS wins SBWWI Health & Safety Award

BBUS has received the 2009 Society of British Water and Wastewater Industries (SBWWI) Health and Safety Award, for its robust Health and Safety management system. The award recognises BBUS' determination to maintain and develop its strong Health and Safety culture, in line with its commitment to achieve ZERO HARM across the business by 2012.
Significant reductions in road traffic collisions, injuries to members of the public and lost time injuries, as well as tangible successes since the beginning of its ZERO HARM journey, provided evidence that BBUS is continually seeking new ways to safeguard its employees and members of the public.
BBUS wins Manchester Insurance Award
BBUS has received the Claims Initiative of the Year award at the 2009 Manchester CII Awards, earning recognition for its 'Holistic Incident Investigation & Analysis' initiative.
The winning submission showcased BBUS' use of the latest technology and incident reporting processes to enable the highest standards of incident management and claims resolution. As well as success in the Claims Initiative category, BBUS was a finalist in the Training and Development category, for its risk-minimising driver training programme.
BBUS wins Brake Charity Road Safety Award
BBUS has received the 2009 Driver Safety Award (medium sized company fleet) from the national road safety charity, Brake, at its annual Fleet Safety Forum Awards. The award recognises the continuing improvements that BBUS is making in road safety, including the use of new technologies to improve awareness and driving skill of employees.
This is the third successive year that BBUS has been recognised by Brake and emphasises the company's determination to build on previous achievements.
BBUS wins HSC09 Product Invention and Innovation Award 2009

BBUS is delighted to have been honoured at the recent annual Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee Conference in Cardiff; receiving an HSC09 award for its significant contribution to the Industry for Product Invention and Innovation, for the second year in a row.
The BBUS award entry showcased four innovation projects which has enabled BBUS operations teams to work without the need for excavation and without risking further damage to essential assets:
1. Vertical Valve Injection kit
2. Live Camera Inspection and Detection
3. Water Meter Adaptor
4. Remote Repair Clamp
BBUS wins Pipeline Industry Guild Award 2009
BBUS was recently honoured by the Pipeline Industry Guild, receiving the Utility Pipeline Technology Award, for its innovative Vertical Valve Injection kit.
The BBUS Innovation and Development team received the Pipeline Industry Guild Award at the annual awards ceremony, on Wednesday 10th March. The Vertical Valve Injection kit provides a simple yet unique solution using a combination of already proven pressurised injection technology along with an innovative step change in application. It repairs leaking water sluice valves using PTFE injection with no excavation, in less than 45 minutes.
BBUS World Class winner at NJUG Awards 2008

BBUS has been recognised by National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG), at their inaugural awards ceremony, by receiving two awards, the World Class Award and the Partnership Award.
The Awards ceremony held in December 2008, at the Atrium restaurant, London, gathered people from across the Utility industry to present six awards, to recognise companies who have delivered projects that matched the objectives of the NJUG vision.
BBUS wins SBWWI Innovation Award 2008

BBUS has been honoured by the Society of British Water and Wastewater Industries, by receiving an award for Innovation, for the Live Camera Inspection system.
The BBUS Innovation and Development team received the SBWWI Award alongside its partner JD7 Group at the annual awards ceremony, in November 2008. The Live Camera Inspection system provides a unique solution to internal water pipe inspection, utilising advances in camera technology.
BBUS finalist at the National Customer Service Awards 2008

The BBUS National Customer Service team attended the prestigious National Customer Service Awards 2008 on Tuesday 23rd September.
The BBUS team was one of the lucky finalists in the Customer Service Management Team of the Year Award category. The national, cross industry awards recognise and honour the delivery of Britain's best customer service, attracting entries from a number of industry leaders.

The BBUS Senior Insurance and Risk team attended the prestigious Manchester Institute of Insurers Awards, in September 2008.
These awards have been organised to give recognition to a range of key skills within the insurance sector. The event attracted entries from a wide variety of insurance industry leaders.
BBUS was a finalist in the category of "Claims Initiative of the Year" which covered its work on reducing road traffic collisions.
