Meet Martin

In his first placement Martin worked in Bamber Bridge as a Quantity Surveyor working on one of our water contracts.

"Joining the scheme has been a steep learning curve, but with the help and support of the teams I worked with, I was able to develop an understanding of the role I played within the company.

My responsibilities in my first placement included conducting site measurements and using the information to produce weekly costs and sales analysis for the schemes I was involved in. Regular meetings were a major part of my week, as I would have to liaise with internal and external site staff on a daily basis.

I am proud of the fact that I have been responsible for the pricing of five schemes, seeing through the initial work commencing on site to the final account being signed off has been very satisfying. I would definitely recommend the graduate scheme to a friend. The scheme hones the skills you will need throughout your chosen career path within the company."
