Left: The Team all mucked in for a good cause.
BBUS provided a team of volunteers to take part in a teambuilding event to build a new walkway for the Wigan and Leigh Hospice before Christmas.
Along with partners Gallagher LTD and employees from United Utilities and Morgan Utilities, the teams joined forces to transform an area of the patient's garden.
Over the course of two days, 30 people got together to work on the project to help the hospice which is situated near the BBUS Bamber Bridge office. Rather than doing a traditional teambuilding event, the team wanted to do something which would give everybody a chance to work together outdoors, even if it meant getting their hands dirty!
The event also gave participants the chance to try something new. Whereas they might usually work at a desk, on this day they got the chance to operate a digger and use a spade.
As well as laying a 120-metre tarmac path, the team provided the Hospice with a new bench set and improved wheelchair access. Thanks to everyone who took part!
