BBUS Wins Product Invention and Innovation HSC09 Award for second year in a row

BBUS is delighted to have been honoured at the recent annual Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee Conference in Cardiff; receiving an HSC09 award for its significant contribution to the Industry for Product Invention and Innovation, for the second year in a row.

The BBUS Innovation and Development (I&D) team work closely with BBUS clients and its operations teams to deliver three core objectives, to improve safety and productivity, reduce disruption and minimise the company's environmental impact.

The BBUS award entry showcased four innovation projects which has enabled BBUS operations teams to work without the need for excavation and without risking further damage to essential assets:

1. Vertical Valve Injection kit
2. Live Camera Inspection and Detection
3. Water Meter Adaptor
4. Remote Repair Clamp

The prestigious award was accepted by Mike Brockhurst, General Manager for Innovation and Development, and Tom Lambert, General Manager Streetworks, who represented BBUS at the awards on 13th May - along with attendees from local authorities, utility companies, contractors and central government departments.
