Left: BBUS Hy-ram Vertical Valve Injection kit
BBUS has launched its Vertical Valve Injection Kit with supplier partner Hy-ram Engineering Ltd.
The Vertical Valve Injection Kit provides a simple yet unique solution for the water industry, using a combination of already proven pressurised injection technology from Hy-ram along with an innovative step change in application. The kit repairs leaking water sluice valves using PTFE injection with no excavation, in less than 45 minutes.
Mike Brockhurst, BBUS General Manager for Innovation and Development said: "The VVI Kit is a simple application of an existing high quality repair system, providing great benefits to our clients including zero excavation. We have worked with Hy-Ram for a number of years and whilst considering who would be the most suitable supplier for the kit, they offered us the best solution to bring it to market.
"Our Innovations Senior Project Manager Ted Twell designed this new application, following a request from our operations teams to eliminate the need to excavate whilst repairing a leaking water sluice valve. The BBUS I&D team is dedicated to generating new, innovative ways of working which allow our operation teams to work with the most advanced and least disruptive techniques."
Tim Hallam Hy-Ram Managing Director said: "We're delighted to be associated with BBUS and to be the nominated manufacturer and distributor of the Vertical Valve Injection Kit. The product has been enthusiastically received by our customers and fits well with Hy-Ram's extensive range of specialist pipe equipment."
The VVI Kit will be available through Hy-Ram's national depot network and for further information or a demonstration contact the national sales office on 01623 422982.
Throughout the design and trial process BBUS received very positive feedback from a number of its clients who have trialled the kit, such as Yorkshire Water and United Utilities.
