Mike Sparrow Appointed Managing Director, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions

Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, the UK’s leading integrated utilities business, announces the appointment of Mike Sparrow as Managing Director, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, which is effective from January 2010.

Phil Brookes has been Managing Director Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions for seven successful years and he has decided that now is the right time to relinquish his position. During his career with Balfour Beatty, Phil has expanded the utilities business to create the UK's leading integrated utilities business. Phil will continue to work with Balfour Beatty on specific Group projects.

Mike Sparrow is currently Managing Director of Romec, the Balfour Beatty WorkPlace and Royal Mail Group joint venture which services all Royal Mail facilities.
