Welcome to the Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions

Viewing and using 'Live Update' feeds

Using Internet Explorer 7

Follow the onscreen instructions to receive the latest updates on the work we are carrying out in your area.

Using Internet Explorer 6

If when you click to subscribe, you see a page of website code, it means you have an older version of internet explorer. ‘Live Updates’ (RSS Feeds) are a relatively new concept, so your browser does not support the functionality.

However you are still able to view this function either by upgrading to IE7 or by using a news reader service such as ‘Google reader’.

To use our ‘Live Update’ feeds follow these three easy steps:

Step one

Firstly you would need to download or sign-up to a news reader service. There are several free online live update providers, such as Google reader, which allows you to sign up and bring your feeds together into one web page.

Follow the instructions to set up an account as this is where you will view all updates from our site.

Step two

Click on the Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions ‘Live Update’ feed of your choice. You will then see a page of coding…don’t worry as this is just technical information you don’t need. Simply copy the URL address, go back into your news reader service and click to ‘add a new subscription’. Paste the URL into the box and it will be added to your viewing list.

Step three

Your ‘Live Update’ feed reader should now automatically update with your chosen Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions feed.
